HOW TO USE:

1. Mount the Gauge: Locate a suitable 2-1/16 inch (52mm) mounting location in your vehicle’s dashboard or gauge pod. Secure the gauge using the provided mounting hardware (typically a spin-lock ring).
2. Install the Temperature Sensor: Identify a suitable port on your engine’s coolant system (usually on the intake manifold or thermostat housing) to install the included Speedhut temperature sensor. Ensure a good seal to prevent leaks.
3. Connect the Sensor Wiring: Run the provided temperature gauge wiring harness (2-wire cable) from the installed temperature sensor to the back of the gauge. Connect the wires to the corresponding terminals on the gauge.
4. Connect the Power and Lighting Harness: Connect the 3 ft power and lighting harness to the back of the gauge. Typically, this harness will have wires for power (12V), ground, and the LED backlighting.
5. Wire to Vehicle: Connect the power wire to a switched 12V source in your vehicle’s electrical system (one that is on when the ignition is on). Connect the ground wire to a suitable ground point on the vehicle’s chassis. Connect the lighting wire to your vehicle’s headlight circuit or a dedicated lighting switch if desired, so the gauge backlighting illuminates with your other lights.
6. Verify Functionality: Once all connections are made, turn on your vehicle’s ignition. The gauge should power up, and the pointer should move as the engine warms up. Check the LED backlighting function as well.
