HOW TO USE:

1. Mount the Gauge: Secure the tachometer in the desired location using the included mounting ring. Ensure the 2.67-inch (68mm) hole size is appropriate.
2. Connect the Power and Lighting Harness: Attach the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to the designated terminals on the back of the tachometer. Connect the power and ground wires to your vehicle’s electrical system according to the harness instructions. This harness also powers any LED illumination of the gauge.
3. Connect the Tachometer Signal Harness: Connect the 8 ft Tachometer Harness to the designated signal terminal on the back of the tachometer. The single wire end of this harness needs to be connected to the tachometer signal output from your vehicle’s ignition system (typically the negative side of the coil or a designated tach output).
4. Calibrate the Pulses Per Revolution (if necessary): Depending on your engine type (number of cylinders), you may need to calibrate the tachometer. Refer to the Speedhut instructions for setting the correct number of pulses per revolution (from 1/2 to 6) to ensure accurate RPM readings.
5. Set the Shift Light: If desired, calibrate the internal shift light to activate at your preferred RPM for optimal gear changes. Follow the Speedhut instructions for setting the shift light threshold.
6. Test the Operation: Start your engine and observe the tachometer reading to ensure it is displaying the correct RPM. Verify that the shift light activates at the set RPM.
